For all those people who have been whining for years about the unwillingness of Infiniti to bring us a convertible version of the coupe, shut your mouth because the New 2009 Infiniti G37  Convertible is now here! The first Infiniti Convertible was a car tat no one remembers; the M30.

The G37 Convertible’s interior includes a special aluminum trim that can be switched for African Rosewood, optional multi-adjustable sport seats, and an outsized trunk. The Convertible is jam packed with accessories like, Bose Open Air audio system with thirteen speakers (and a couple in the headrest), a wind deflector, pop-up rollbars, optional heated and cooled seats, and automatic adjusting climate control. Usually convertibles have a terrible stereo system, but the Bose system in the G37 will compensate for wind noise when the top is down. A tonneau cover disguises the three piece roof which rests in the trunk when the convertible feature is enabled. The 3 peice top only take a matter of second to retract.

As far as design, Infiniti says the design for the back is all new including structural reinforcements in the chassis, a modified rear suspension, a wider rear track, and an extra inch of width overall. The convertible weight ballons due to the retractable top and all the motorized hardware. Its 453lbs. overwight than the coupe and more than 100 pounds. greater than the BMW 335i convertible.

Engine wise, the 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible has a 3.7 liter V-6 engine produces over 325 horsepower and 265 lb feet of torque.lb-ft torque. It comes available with a sport package and a standard six speed manual transmission or an optional seven speed automatic. 19 inch rims are stock and huge brakes are featured on this convertible. Shift paddles are standard on the automatic model. Estimated sticker price for the new 2009 Infiniti G37 convertible is ,715.Be sure to cough up the extra dough for the manual transmission.
